It is a great pleasure for us to present Bware Labs as an official partner to the 2021 Moralis Hackathon!

Bware Labs – Official Partner to the 2021 Moralis Hackathon

We at Moralis are absolutely thrilled to introduce Bware Labs as an official partner to the 2021 Moralis Hackathon. The Moralis Hackathon is open for participants now and runs until June 15th, 2021. Specifically, the hackathon promotes quick and easy development of Web3 applications (dApps) with Moralis’ scalable, fast and robust Web3 backend infrastructure.

”Moralis is the simplest solution we’ve seen for rapid dApp development,” said Flavian Manea, CEO of Bware Labs. ”We, at Bware Labs, are looking forward to having our product used and tested for the first time by dApps and Web3 developers, and what better way to do that than through a great competition like the Moralis Hackathon?”

”The 2021 Moralis Hackathon is not only a tremendous real-world showcase of Moralis’ revolutionary features for Web3 app development. Being able to compete for a $50,000 prize pool is also a great incentive for developers to go the extra mile in developing their projects,” added Ivan on Tech, Founder of Moralis. ”We’re delighted to have an innovative company like Bware Labs be a part of this.”

In the 2021 Moralis Hackathon, developers get to compete for a total prize pool of $50,000. Moreover, developers get to use Moralis’ free, fully managed, and infinitely scalable backend infrastructure for building Web3 applications (dApps). Moralis allows developers to quickly develop Web3 projects without the traditionally associated hassle of setting up and managing the necessary backend infrastructure.

Following the June 15th deadline, a jury will select three winning projects that will share the $50,000 prize pool. Specifically, the project coming in first place will win a grand prize of $30,000. The project that comes in second place will be awarded $15,000, while the project that comes in third place will win a $5,000 prize.

Bware Labs Hackathon Example Use Cases

Participants in the 2021 Moralis Hackathon are entirely free to build whatever they want. However, we strongly encourage participants to build projects that have our official partners, like Bware Labs, in mind. To give hackathon contestants some inspiration for this, we’ve prepared some example use cases for hackathon projects that use Bware Labs.

In order for an application to interact with the blockchain (i.e., read blockchain data and/or send transactions to the network), it must connect to a full node. Full nodes collectively store the state of the blockchain. By connecting your application to a full node (via a JSON RPC spec), your application is able to read data from the blockchain (such as user account balances) as well as broadcast new transactions to the network (such as transferring tokens between user accounts or executing functions of smart contracts).

Obtaining a full node requires hosting capabilities, server configuration, deployment, and maintenance. Bware Labs solves this by allowing developers to obtain reliable and secure API endpoints that allow them to connect to the blockchain from a web interface. Practical examples include:

1 – An Ethereum Oracle

Building your own ETH oracle requires access to an Ethereum client. Bware Labs provides a fast and reliable websocket API to make that possible.

2 – Building a Uniswap Transaction Bot

To send transactions on Ethereum or to listen for specific events, you would need to connect to an Ethereum client via a websockets connection or an RPC endpoint that can easily be obtained from the Bware Labs Decentralised API Platform at https://app.bwarelabs.com.

3 – Running a Chainlink Node

In order to run a Chainlink node, it must be able to connect to an Ethereum client with an active websocket connection like the ones provided by BwareLabs.

What is Bware Labs?

Bware Labs’ main product is a decentralized API platform that aims to provide fast, secure, and reliable APIs (RPC, Websockets, REST, and GraphQL) for the best-known blockchain networks in the crypto space. Users are able to access the Bware Labs Platform and generate unique API endpoints by simply connecting their MetaMask wallet. In the near future, owners of full nodes can join the platform as providers and get rewards for fulfilling requests.

Bware Labs is essentially building an application layer that connects API consumers, such as dApp developers, wallet providers, and exchanges on one side, and node providers for different networks on the other side. The platform includes a protocol that enforces integrity on the part of node providers, a load balancing system guaranteeing high reliability, scalability, and a state-of-the-art monitoring system, all accessible from an easy-to-use web interface that makes blockchain interactions easier than ever before.
