Moralis Releases Transaction Labeling

Table of Contents

We’re happy to announce that Moralis is now releasing its “transaction labeling” feature! Our transaction labeling is the easiest way to make sense of on-chain transactions and takes our already powerful Transaction API to the next level!

Moralis Transaction Labeling

We’re now rolling out support for a decoding feature that helps you make sense of blockchain transactions!

Our new “transaction labeling” feature automatically decodes raw transaction input data into human-readable events based on the functions and events defined within the associated contract ABI. Specifically, Moralis applies a friendly and recognizable label to each transaction and log, such as “Transfer”, “Deposit”, “Mint”, etc., which makes it dramatically easier to understand blockchain transactions.

This will be a huge time-saver for developers looking to, e.g., display a clear timeline of events for a wallet, identify different types of transactions (such as taxable events), or anyone building an intuitive block explorer. As such, transaction labeling will make it even easier to build a wallet with Moralis!

With this new feature, each transaction includes a decoded_call object, which is the decoded input data of the transaction. Moreover, each log includes a decoded_event object, which is the decoded topic data. This new feature is set to revolutionize the way users interact with blockchain data, making it more accessible and user-friendly. We’ve included support for transaction labeling on two new endpoints:

We couldn’t be more excited to see what our users will build with the help of our transaction labeling feature. All of our EVM blockchains support our transaction labeling feature starting today. Learn more in our documentation for transaction labeling
